    Inappropriate?
    Dear Sir
Please let me know whether "Synth project" can be burned to disc or not, if yes, what will be the procedure?
Also let me know how should I find out my "Synth Project" which is already made.
    Regards

    Inappropriate?
    Hello, B.RAY CHAUDHURY,

What is your Photosynth username? Your synths are located at photosynth.net when you click your username. Example: Mine is http://photosynth.net/UserProfilePage... . If you replace 'Nathanael' with your username you will see your completed synths.

If you are asking where the synth files are stored on your hard drive, they are only stored until all of them have completed uploading to photosynth.net and then they are automatically deleted, leaving only a .log file behind. Nevertheless, if you would like to look anyway, open Windows Explorer and type %temp%\photosynther

If you open this photosynther folder while you are calculating a new synth you can see that an 'images' folder is made inside and filled with your photos converted to dziz .files. The last two files to be generated are collection.dzc and collection.synth.bin inside the photosynther folder but outside of the images folder. If you are really interested in backing up your synth on disc, you will need to wait until all the synth calculation finishes, so that you can copy (not move or cut) the finished dzc and bin files instead of one that's still under construction and still incomplete. The images folder can be copied as soon as the tile generation phase is complete. Make a folder somewhere else on your hard drive with your synth's name and paste the images, bin, and dzc (and maybe even the log file after the upload finishes) into it.

Remember, though, if you wait too long the upload will finish and all the files will be deleted. One way around this is to wait until the tile generation phase is complete and the synther has moved on to image feature extraction, matching, or scene reconstruction and then temporarily disconnecting your internet connection. This way the calculation will complete, you can copy all your files, and then reconnect to the internet and finish the upload.

Okay, so you understand how to collect your synth files. Playing them back... I have never really looked into editing a photosynth.net page to point it to local files on my own dics. It should be quite possible but good luck finding out how. I heard twice here on getsatisfaction right after Photosynth came out last year that someone had made their own offline viewer and people asked him/her/them to share it but no response ever came.

Until you find a way to get your hands on/make your own offline viewer, you may find it interesting to look inside the synth files by adding .zip to the end of their filenames.
