Inappropriate? We have an embeddable viewer that you can easily drop into your site code (look for the "embed" icon <> on the lower right of the view page). These files are hosted on Photosynth.net.

I want to let users who come to my site create their own synths, and publish them on my site as well. How do I make this process simple? -

Inappropriate?Do I have to host the files on Photosynth.net as well?
Can I self host those? -
Inappropriate?Zinovate, currently you have the same options with Photosynth that you do with YouTube. It's uploaded there, hosted there, + embeddable anywhere. (I grant you that it's not a .swf, like a YouTube video so you can't nick off with it and upload it elsewhere, but that's not exactly official use of YouTube to begin with.)
I'm sure that Live Labs or Microsoft at large might be interested in offering Photosynth as an installable plugin or piece of server software in the future once it is a little more stable. (Perhaps for a small fee?) For more of my thoughts on that, click here.
