How does one get the Photosynth Update of August 28th.
Is there a update button somewhere in Photosynth I am missing?
My current version is: 2.0.1403.6
Edit: the online browser is Build: 10683

Tradewind, the 8/28 update is web code only, so you get it whether you like it or not :). We are of course hard at work on updates to the binaries as well, but we're not going to be able to issue those with the same frequency as we refresh the web code.

Inappropriate?I still have version 2.0.1403.6 and I read that there already is 2.0.1403.14 - if not more.
But I don't see the download link on the webpage. Maybe you can display it more prominently. -
Inappropriate?I'm trying to find the link to the update as well, now. It solved some problems on my home machine but I can't any longer remember which topic had the link posted in it. Would it be possible just to put a small link on the PS homepage or something, please? I know it's in this forum somewhere but it's going to take a while to find - and I already tried searching for "update" and this is where it dropped me!
I’m hoping someone reads this and understands we still need a link to the 2.0.1403.12 update which will then jump to .14, because .06 isn't doing it by itself!

Tahrey, I'm not speaking against your point, but you could simply temporarily disable the photosynth browser plugin and you would be sent to the download page straight away which would get you the latest version right off. I am puzzled as to why v.06 isn't auto updating and would love to know the answer, though. -
That's quite inspired actually Nathanael, thanks for pointing it out. I've got it updated now independently, but if it has problems doing it automatically in future (and assuming I can get that level of browser settings access - I'm surprised it even runs here, my excuse is it might actually be potentially useful for my job) I'll give that a try.
It's a strange catch 22 that if there's a bug in v ....6 that prevents it from auto-updating, then no new version you release with that bug fixed will automatically clear the problem anyway - they'll all need a manual update. But previous auto-updating versions will presumably have updated through to ....6 for any user that logs on regularly enough to not have skipped that release. Headache time! -
It may have to come to updating v.6 via Windows Update for the majority of users who don't keep up with what the latest version is.
