How to use Ajax library with Deep zoom Composer
Sounds great. But I have problems to include Seadragon Ajax with my own Deep zoom image, hosted by me. When I reference the .dzi file, I got the message "No valid Deep Zoom Image".
Which directory structure is needed for the deep zoome image?
What option I need to export the image from Deep Zoom Composer?
Thanks for any hints

Inappropriate? If you are using Deep Zoom Composer, make sure you have created a JPG DZI and not a WDP DZI. That might be the problem, let me know if that doesn't work!

I don't think Deep Zoom Composer offers WDP as a format. It only offers JPEG and PNG, both of which are fine for Seadragon Ajax. -
Inappropriate?Change the extension from dzi to xml. The hosting web server may not be able to pass files with a diz extension through, changing the file to an XML extension will solve this issue.

Inappropriate?Boyd's answer is probably what will fix it for you; web servers by default don't know what the .dzi extension means. So you can either add "application/xml" as a MIME type for .dzi (if you can modify your server settings), or you can just change your file to have a .xml extension.
One more quick suggestion: make sure you're exporting as a "composition", not a "collection".

Inappropriate?Thanks for the help.
But I had already added the .dzi to IIS. Didn't solve the problem.
The problem seems to be the generated .dzi file. Seems not to be a real xml file, has some strange encoding inside.
So I used the xml file in "\source images\OutputSdi\books\dzc_output_images\dsc01662.xml" with the code in http://livelabs.com/seadragon-ajax/li....
It's working now.
The embedded viewer generated the code now, but there's are no viewable pictures, only a black window.
I’m unsure

Inappropriate?Sounds like a Deep Zoom Composer bug in the XML it generates. We'll look into it. Thanks!
