I want more control of movement through a synth!
It would be cool if I could create some type of playlists for a synth. The bigger the synth the more difficult it can be to navigate. I wonder how many people look around for a bit and get lost on their initial use of this app? Different playlists could move the viewer along a predetermined path that highlights (zooms in) on different subjects of the synth. It might be similar to a photo slideshow that you start a slide at a certain spot and then zoom and pan to give the viewer a certain perspective on the subject. It would look more like video than a bunch of photos.
I understand that one of the coolest aspects of a synth is that people can explore in their own way, but I just can't see the novice computer user being able to navigate these synths very well, in order to quickly see what the synth is all about. We live in an instant gratification world. A photo on a website tells you everything in one glance. If synths will ever supplant static images, they need a better way to QUICKLY show what they are about. I would think this extremely important if you are trying to sell a product and you want the viewer (consumer) to see the best features right away.
In other words there is no way to be the "director" of a synth.

Inappropriate?Also see Path for narrative

Inappropriate?I would also like to see the ablity to view something from any angle

This is really a different idea. Photosynth isn't magic, you know.
For the time being you can certainly view the point cloud (the primitive 3D model that is made from finding connections between your photos) from any angle. Tap the 'p' key to switch back and forth between viewing (a) your photos on top of the point cloud, (b) just the point cloud, and (c) just your photos. You can also hold down the 'CTRL' key to view the point cloud temporarily.
Also, for any object that you've taken alot of pictures of, you'll see a halo appear on the screen near the center of that object. If you grab onto that halo and twist it around with your mouse, you'll be able to view any angle of that object's point cloud much more easily. The more pictures that you take from as many angles as possible, the better the point cloud should be.
I'm sure that in the future Photosynth will begin to try to construct much more realistic models of objects that it finds in your photos, but you will still need pictures of an object from every angle if you want a texture on every side of it.
There was a comment made by Blaise in another topic that certainly hints at part of the vision for where Live Labs wants to go in the future with Photosynth. He said, "Those who don't want to be bothered with something less than video-game-like 3D fidelity, come back in a year or two ;)." So, you can see that they plan to make what you're asking for, but it's going to take a lot of hard work to make it happen and we'll need to wait for a while to get it.
Even so, remember what I've said: Photosynth isn't magic. Even when we get full 3D models, you'll need to have submitted photos from a minimum of the front, back, sides, top, and bottom of something in order to have the computer model of it be complete.
