Stuck at "experiencing a network problem"
Is it going to recover from this error, or should I just cancel? What will happen to the 6 or 7 files that were uploaded?

Inappropriate?Hi, I also got stuck with "experiencing a network problem 2 hours ago. Photosynth created the collection.dzcz and the collection.synth.bin file. (together 21MB) And it uploaded all pictures. The log file says he tried to send "collection.synth.bin" 5 times. How do you make him try again. I don't want to calculate again. It took 19h to calculate the nearly 500 pictures.
Oh and by the way though the log file doesn't indicate a problem the GUI says it want's to upload file 202 of 203. I guess it should says file 489 of 490.

Inappropriate?Oh, and why does it says: "experiencing a network problem" rather than "experienced"? Does this mean that he'll maybe try uploading again in an hour or so? At connection attempt for the upload of this one file occured within 5minutes. Maybe my router experienced some problems just then?1 Comment

Good point. I have looked into the log-file and I think you can see it tries every 15-45 seconds:

After 1.5 hours I stopped the program. -
Inappropriate?I thought maybe I can add another synth, so Photosynth will then process this synth and when it sees that uploads work again it'll upload "collection.dzcz" and "collection.synth.bin". However, photosynth won't process my secondary synth as long as the first one isn't done.
Dear Photosynth team, I don't want to go through 19h30min of creating this synth again. Can't I send you the two files personally? Is there some other way to upload those files? Can I make photosynth try uploading them again? Pretty please!
I can't press either "edit" or "promote" for the synth in progress. Only for the pending synth.
But I don't know what "promote" is for.
Please help.

Inappropriate?I just got his for the first time. It was stuck at 242 out of 243 images for over an hour, so I killed it. Just did a 122 image synth and it went through fine, so I will try the bigger one again.

The first time I "uploaded" this synth (under a different name) it was stuck at the the famous "publishing" stage. So at least the upload was quicker.

Inappropriate?I've been experimenting with a set of pics, trying to get 100% synth.
I've succeeded with this one, my 8th attempt, http://tinyurl.com/5r9z3w after sometimes adding and sometimes removing files to or from the set before re-synthing.
Upload has failed on several occasions while uploading the final picture file, at first saying 'experiencing a network problem', and then failing after hanging for 10-15 minutes.
Starting again from scratch doesn't work, but if I remove the last picture in the set and try again, it all works fine, and the upload completes.
It also seems to get such a grip of my internet connection (through a netgear DGFV338 router) once it has got to the 'experiencing a network problem' stage, that I have to make several attempts to get a browser to go through to the web although the connection to the dns is still good
