The plugin shows the cloud but no pictures.
Sometimes, the plugin is able to show the cloud, but it does not download the pictures. This has happened in the "busy" hours, in which a reload is not an option (I would be given a different synth), but also it happened yesterday in the explore section with the murano boats. If I go to the grid view, I only see a white rectangle in the upper right.
I am not sure if there is a reload button in the plugin or some way to request the download of more pictures.

Inappropriate?There seem to be two things involved. One is that sometimes, the plugin does not download any picture, just one white rectangle. One is that it may get stuck showing only the cloud of points.
For this last one, it seems a bug (or maybe a feature) easy to reproduce: press ctrl, then alt without unpressing ctrl, then unpress ctrl, then unpress alt, and there you are, stuck in "cloud mode".
Pressing ctl alone or in combination can get you back to seeing the pictures, if they have been downloaded.

Inappropriate?Along with the ctrl key (which was designed to be temporary, but as you point out can get "stuck" because of the interaction with alt) , you should know that the "p" key (for "points") allows you to cycle through 3 states: photos+point, just points, just photos.
If the photos disappear and ctrl and p don't help, you might be hitting a bug related to running out of texture memory in your graphics system. Between Seadragon, Direct3D, and your graphics driver, we should be managing this so that it never runs out, but sometimes there's a problem. Exiting your browser frees up all graphics resources associated with the program, so restarting your browsers should clear this problem.

Inappropriate?I was viewing synths just fine for a while when this problem started happening. I tried using FireFox, and it worked fine. After using FireFox, the synths show up fine in IE once again. Maybe switching browsers resets the plugin somehow.
