While I agree some extra metadata for images on Seadragon.com would be useful, I'd like you to clarify where you think this data should come from, e.g. embedded metadata or provided by the user?

for the title and description, "provided by the user" would be great.
May be some people would find useful to have the embedded metadata, but personally I'm ok with the "provided by the user" option. -

Thanks for your suggestions. Since we don't have an account system and don't plan to implement one any time soon, having the metadata provided by the user could turn out very inaccurate -- who says the submitter of the image is the owner?
However, we're starting to be more clever about the sources of the images and will attribute more appropriately.

We took your idea and applied it for Flickr images! When you give us a Flickr image now, our page title includes the title of the Flickr image.
So thanks for the suggestion! As Daniel said, we're looking at ways to derive this automatically for other images as well.
