worried
When I open my synth, I see the name I gave it, but below that it has my last name and the date I created it. How do I change my name next to the date of creation. Also where do I find on this site any responses to my questions?

Inappropriate?Taradacto, the name you see next to the date of your synth's creation is the public nickname you chose when you signed up for your account at photosynth.net. It is not yet able to be changed. To read what others have said about that, click here.
Regarding where you will see responses to your question, I hope my answer will help show you how things happen on getsatisfaction.com. You should receive an email notifying you of responses to any of your questions or topics that you begin following.
Also, you might have noticed that you can search Live Labs' section of getsatisfaction.com for other people who may have the same problem as you. When you have a problem, try beginning by typing the most descriptive words about your problem like a specific error message or in your case, I would have tried "name" to see if anyone else had this problem or if there was already an answer.
I'm not a Live Labs employee, but hopefully this will help you find your way around.
If you truly are worried about your name being associated with your synth, I would suggest that you delete your current synth by:
(1) signing in to photosynth.net,
(2) going to http://photosynth.net/YourSynths.aspx, and
(3) clicking the "x" in the upper right corner of the thumbnail tab of the synth in question.
You could then sign up for a different account with a truly anonymous name and retry your personal synths there. I think that sounds like too much trouble, but it's up to you. I think I might just upload things that I didn't mind people seeing like a city park or the town library or something like that until photosynth gives us either (a) privacy controls or (b) a way to edit our nickname.
I’m here to answer any other questions that I can help with.

how do I sign up for a different account and where??? -
Well I really don't recommend it. You would have to use a different Windows Live ID since one email address can't have more than one photosynth account attached to it.
If you're totally determined to make a new photosynth.net account you would
(a) get a new email address/Windows Live ID and
(b) sign into photosynth.net with it and pick an anonymous nickname this time
(You'll have to sign out of your current photosynth.net account before signing in with another email address. You can do this by clicking "Sign Out" in the upper right hand corner of photosynth.net.)
