Allowing users to expand the coverage area of Loki
I have an idea: how about allowing users with laptops that have wireless adapters to help expand the coverage of Loki.

John, sorry for taking so long to get back to you. There are a few ways you can help us add coverage...
First is using Loki (if you have Windows XP) and Tuning your location as you move around. This takes a snapshot of the area and sends it to our servers.
Second, if you want to add a large area you can contact Skyhook directly to work with them. Email them at support@skyhookwireless.com and include which area(s) you are interested in working.
Best, Ryan

Thanks! I will try that. -
Inappropriate?A GPS unit would be required to map out the wireless access points. I don't think everyone has a GPS unit inside their computers. Although, great idea.
I’m excited

Inappropriate? You can also submit single APs at a time by going to: http://www.skyhookwireless.com/howitw...
We are going to be releasing a version of the plugin soon that will allow you to easily tune your location with any OS. -
Inappropriate? Why doesn't the loki software simply look for a GPS device installed, and if it can get data from it, allow the user to upload it.
