Our friends over at FeedBurner have a very similar tool and have created a great how-to to help users edit their signatures with links to dynamic images like MyLoki badges.
The trick is that you don't want to reference a static image from your machine -- you want the image source to be coming from our server so it is updated constantly with your current location.
