How do I register my ipod touch to find my location?
When I click on the original maps icon on my 2nd gen ipod touch and try to find my current location it says location cannot be determined and searching on the internet trying to figure out how to get my location feature to work lead me here. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would tell me how they get there ipod to find there location or whoever has the answer. Thanks!

Inappropriate? You can submit your AP here:
http://skyhookwireless.com/howitworks...
You can locate your MAC address using these tools:
You can use software like NetStumbler (http://netstumbler.com) for
Windows.
iStumbler (http://istumbler.net) for Mac.
If on Vista, you might want to try Vistumbler (http://www.vistumbler.net/).
These tools will show you a list of all of the nearby Wireless Access Points with their SSID, MAC Address and a few other properties. Mark down the MAC Address associated with your Access Point's SSID.
Also, on the iPhone/iPod touch, you can install the application called
WiFiTrack which will allow you to see what networks (and their MAC
addresses) are visible from your device. The app is currently at $0.99

Thanks,
I tried that and I got an email saying that it worked but how long will it take for it to be in the system because it still can't locate where I am. -
It takes about 10 days to populate in the database.
