Can I change the frequency of automatic location updates?
An hour between updates doesn't seem to give very good resolution, but I don't want to have to manually refresh. I'd like to set my refresh @ 15 minutes or so.
When I drive to / from work, I'll often get an update on the way, so then even if I'm sitting @ home for half an hour it looks like I'm at some random point in-between.
If it's not an option now, consider it a feature request. =)
As an added bonus, it would be *awesome* to have speed-dependent location updates:
Not moving much = location updates hourly
Moving @ 50mph = location updates every 5 minutes

Thanks for the feedback! Just for reference, are you using an iPhone, or another device? If you're using an iPhone, you might try downloading the latest version that just went live last night. It has some improvements to location accuracy and updating.

Inappropriate?I am using an iphone, and it seems to update at odd intervals. What is the interval update on the iphone? Can it be adjusted so it updates more often? Especially if I am on the move? -

Inappropriate?Loopt's update intervals vary and can't be changed by the user. On the iPhone, Loopt can only update while it's running. On other devices like the 8600, Loopt attempts to update approximately every 15-30 minutes, but that interval can be longer if Loopt can't get a location fix or if the device hasn't moved very far since the last update.1 Comment Add a comment

This is a lame answer to a valid question. People want to find each other, that's the whole point of the app. If the iPhone app is open, refresh should happen every 10 seconds, or maybe on demand.
