Can Loopt track me using AT&T network when app is not running?
Is Loopt able to track my location even when the app is not running? For example, by using AT&Ts cell tower / network information? Thanks.

Inappropriate?Loopt isn't yet able to update your location when it isn't running. We're working to add that soon.

Hey dude, if you folks don't fix this soon, I will take my business somewhere as you may know, Europe is coming up with similar program, much much more reliable soon. So, fix this and make it happen or you're going to loose a lot of unhappy customers! -
Hi,
Unfortunately, this isn't something we can fix right now on the iPhone. Apple doesn't allow any applications (including Loopt) to run when they're not running and up on the screen. Until Apple allows applications to run in the background, we likely won't be able to add this functionality to the iPhone. Once Apple adds this functionality, we'll work quickly to support it.

No, OS 3.0 does not allow background processes. -
