Locations are not auto-refreshing
My wife and I just created Loopt accounts for our iPhones. Within minutes we could see each other's location just fine. She called me an hour later in a different location (30 miles away), and I checked my Loopt map to see where she was. But the map still showed the original location, an hour old.
Is it supposed to auto-refresh? If so, why isn't that happening? I hope we don't have to manually ping-pong to update the map.
Thanks,
Steve

Inappropriate?Hi,
Loopt cannot automatically update location on the iPhone without the user running Loopt and bringing it up on the screen. Apple prevents applications from running when they're not actively up and running on the screen. Therefore, if you or your wife moves and you want the other person to be able to see your updated location, you will need to open Loopt on your iPhone at the new location. Pings/Pongs aren't necessary. They're only used as a way for you to send a text message to the other person requesting/reminding them to open Loopt on their phone and update their location.

Inappropriate? How will we know when Apple decides to change it, and are they even aware of this problem so that they may move forward to allow apps to update? If not, who can we contact to make sure that it is allowed?

Apple is aware of this limitation. If they decide to remove it, you will see the update in new firmware that they release for all iPhones.
