Will my phone number show in my profile? If so, how do I block it unless I want to give access to certain people.

Hi Jasmine,
Your phone number is only viewable for people you add as friends on Loopt. Mix users and friends of friends can't see your phone number unless you specifically add them to your friend list on Loopt. We don't currently have a way to hide your phone number from Loopt friends.

Inappropriate?Loopt needs to provide an option to hide one's cell phone. I use Google Voice and do not wish my cell phone number to be public to anybody.
Better yet, Loopt needs to come up with a different account login OTHER than one's mobile number.

Inappropriate?I agree as well. I won't be using Loopt til it is either compatible for Google Voice or it allows a different username information other than your phone number.

Hi. Loopt doesn't support Google Voice numbers yet. You'll need to use your mobile phone's active US mobile number in order for Loopt to register and function properly.

Yep, same here. I only use my Google Voice and refuse to give out my cellphone number to anybody. Loopt is completely useless to me, too.
Besides, it's a piss-poor unique identifier to use anyways. People sometimes change their phone numbers (e.g. harassing phone calls, people move, etc.) whoever came up with the bright idea to use a cell phone number as a login needs to be flogged. -

Inappropriate?Also tried to register with my Google Voice number and was concerned after I didn't receive my verification text. Loopt needs to integrate with Google Voice, especially now with Android 2.0 and the new Droid phones being out.
