Why can't I join Loopt's website w/o a compatible phone if I'm able to use Loopt with Facebook?
I tried to register with Loopt but since my phone isn't compatible I received the suggestion to use it with Facebook. I tried it with Facebook and my status updates also update on the Loopt network. However, when I tried to use Loopt's web interface, I could not register due to the incompatible phone. Why would Loopt allow Facebook access but not web access? Is there a way for me to get around this and use Loopt's web interface while I wait for Loopt to be made for my VX10000 phone?

Inappropriate?Unfortunately, you must have a compatible phone with Loopt in order to use the services on Loopt.com. You are welcome to use the Facebook application to share information with Loopt users, but Loopt.com is only able to support users who have the mobile application on their phone.

Inappropriate?I really do appreciate that you responded at all, Chris, but I have to point out that you didn't answer a question- you repeated what I already know and stated. :-)
What I am asking is: why has Loopt made the decision to allow people without compatible phones to use Facebook to update their status on the Loopt timeline, but not allowed this same group of people to use Loopt's web interface?
Thanks for any insight you can provide on this, Chris (or other Loopt employees).
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? And it figures that you have not gotten a response yet on this... I'm waiting for the interface on the VX10000 (Voyager) as well!
I’m pissed off.

Inappropriate?Hi,
Sorry for the delay. I lost track of this one and apologize. We're working on Voyager support and will launch as soon as it's ready.
Loopt's web interface is meant to supplement the mobile application as a way to manage your mobile Loopt account settings on a bigger screen. Opening it up is something we're certainly considering, but in the meantime, the Facebook application is meant to fill that void. Thanks for the feedback!
