Why do I get an error that says "A network error has occurred " while connecting to the Loopt service?

Inappropriate?A network error means the service could not find a network connection. This could be because of network congestion, weak coverage, or other reasons. Check that you have service and can make calls. If you can, try the request again.1 Comment

I have the same problem on my BlackBerry 8800. I have no problem with other apps that use the data connection on my BB, but Loopt reports "A network error occurred. Please try again later." -

Inappropriate?I have this same problem on the ZTE C79. and it is that my auto update is not on but nothing has changed on the phn and it was working a few days aobut 3-4 days ago fine.

Inappropriate?I've had this happen several times too, especially when I use the app. via my computer. I think it's something in Loopt's system that gets congested or something. Does it randomly say things like "your friend's list could not be located" or "updated" or something like that? Try starting again at your home site, erase all loopt's tracking cookies, then login to loopt again, SLOWLY. The glitch usely happens when someone is being impatient and is clicking too many items while the first hasn't even finished uploading, or updating, or whatever. If it looks like it's busy doing something or says to wait, then wait before trying to get it to do something else. I haven't had that problem since I've been doing this..gl!
