We plan to expand internationally, and the UK should be part of that. There’s no timeline yet, but we’re working on it.

Inappropriate?Brightkite works in several countries to my knowledge, it uses both SMS and GPRS/Edge/3g data for updates etc. However, brightkite only has a native application for the iPhone. Which is fine if you use an iPhone :)

Loopt continues to explore international expansion, but it is unlikely to occur in the near future. We don't have any more specific info we can provide at this time. If/When we get firm timelines, we will definitely share them here. -
