As stated on the help section of our website, "You can STOP all messages coming from Loopt users by replying to any such SMS message with STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT."

Thank you for the feedback. Loopt offers several ways to stop receiving SMSs, and this information is readily accessible as follows:
The Loopt Help and Support page is easily accessible from our website, www.loopt.com, by clicking on the link, Help: http://www.loopt.com/help. There are a number of ways from this Help page to communicate with Loopt about this question and others.
1. FAQs: the question and answer in #5: “Why am I receiving SMS
messages from Loopt? What are they, and how can I stop them?” gives you the solution, as Nick noted in the previous response to you.
2. Ask a question in the GetSatisfaction text field, as you have done to ask this question.
3. Customer Service email: support@loopt.com is labeled on the page. You can email our customer support team and they will respond within 24 hours.
4. Each ‘friend invite’ SMS from Loopt includes OPT OUT language in the message itself, “Reply STOP to stop Loopt msgs”
