Recently active ideas in loud3r

Browsing around the sites is a great experience so far. I keep getting distracted and reading articles, which is a very good thing.

I'd still like to see some short description of what the site is, where the stories are coming from, how they're chosen, etc.

It's harder for me to scan text on the news feed page than I'd like. I think it's because the font size is overly generous:


Perhaps it's because I'm used to it, but I find the typography on Huffington Post to be a better size for quick viewing:



As an added benefit, you can fit somewhat more text into similar space.

The thought of creating yet another profile makes me feel empty inside. Get Satisfaction has a nice solution for that that imports my profile from other websites, and I think it's open source. Maybe you could use that to encourage user to share something about themselves.
