How many days does it take for dead URL links to disappear from search engine?

Inappropriate?Do you mean Loud3r searches or other search engines like Google?
On loud3r pages a dead link should be removed from search results within a day or so. On Google/Yahoo it depends on how often the page is being crawled. Next time the search engine crawls the site it should mark dead links for removal.
