- If no thumbnail from source story, is it possible to use keywords from story to generate images? might not work all the time Boxxet comes to mind

Inappropriate?There are a couple ideas in your post that we have been thinking about.
1. We're working to improve the way our image scraper works. We get lots of great photos, but we also miss photos.
2. Finding closely related images. I have a couple of ideas about how we can use topic and timestamp together to find great images that are very likely to be related to the post. -
Inappropriate?One system we're working on will go search Flickr for related photos with a Creative Commons license that lets us post the whole photo. Another version will pull in full size ad-supported newswire photos using GumGum.
