Inappropriate?Hi Mike.
LOUD3R Scores are based on a bunch of quality and relevancy factors.
The current top story on Decant3r.com has a score of 2880. The breakdown is
Quality: 2618
Community: 96
Buzz: 166
Quality is a number determined by our system based on an analysis of the content, the appearance or relevant topics, the quality of the source as determined by our editors, the inclusion of photos or videos, and a number of other factors.
Community is a number determined by the community's reaction to the story. It may include factors like the number of people who viewed the story, starred the story, shared the story, added comments, etc.
Buzz is based on the growth in popularity of the topics covered in the story. For example, on the day of the Academy Awards the term "Oscar" will be dramatically higher than usual and will get a higher buzz score. Any stories referring to that topic will therefore get a higher score and appear higher on the page.
The relative importance of each factor is determined by the site editors, and will change over time on each site and for each topic.
