Is there some way to auto-convert smart quotes and other characters into HTML friendly text?
I pulled from Word and got all these weird characters when viewing the rendered HTML in Firefox. I'm hoping Macromates has a function that can make them right in one fell swoop.

Inappropriate?You want to send your page as UTF-8 or convert them to entities (via the HTML bundle)
Or you can dumb down the quotes using Bundles → Text → Converting / Stripping → Transliterate to ASCII (alternatively press ⌃⌘T and enter ‘ascii’ to find the same item).
