legal and tax matters
For legal and tax purposes, who is the publisher, you or me? For example, if I started a magazine with MagCloud and priced it above cost, would you send a 1099 for my profits to me each year? Do you hold publisher's liability insurance, or would that huge expense be my responsibility? Would you hold the business license, or would I need one too? Who pays sales tax on the sales?

I'll let better qualified people speak to tax and liability issues, but, in general, you are the publisher and MagCloud is the printer/distributor, just like you went to a traditional press for a print/distro job.

Inappropriate?Never even thought of the liability insurance... Does anyone know how much this costs? Would be interesting if MagCloud could devise a group publisher plan...
