PDF downloads for those who buy a print
I really think it'd be a great idea to let publishers offer their PDFs along with their printed issues. I have had about 20 requests for that just today, and I don't see how it'd be a terrible nightmare to implement (I'd hope at least! :)).

Inappropriate?As a publisher, would you want to limit the download to those who purchased the print version? Or just have it wide open for anyone to download?

Inappropriate?Probably to those who purchased. And you could really approach it a few ways. One, you could send a unique download link with their order confirmation, or you could give their account access to it after purchase.
It would also be cool to offer the PDF for sale by itself. But that would probably be a lot of extra effort and I'm not sure how much it'd pay off for you. :)
It would be nice to just have a little dropdown box that said: "Do not offer PDF to buyers, Offer PDF as free download with purchase, or Sell PDF for markup price" or something like that. -
Inappropriate?I had someone ask about our e-zine version a few days ago, and thought about how convenient it would be to have an ebook (.pdf for free or for purchase dependent on publisher's needs) available alongside the print version when our print versions are posted at magcloud. I agree with the idea for a dropdown box listing options.
We've stopped using our previous publisher altogether, and are currently making e-versions available through our website, but it would be easier to have everything in a central location.

Inappropriate?I'd really like to be able to upload a PDF and be able to sell my magazine in the following ways:
1. printed only
2. pdf download only
3. pdf download + printed (not necessarily a requirement but would be a nice option)
I'd use MagCloud *right now* if I had the option to sell a PDF download of my magazine on MagCloud. Our readers primarily want to be able to have a downloadable PDF of our magazine with a secondary focus on people wanting a printed version. What chance is there of MagCloud making a downloadable option at purchase time?

Inappropriate?I think an option to allow print purchasers or previewers to download (if the publisher allows non-buyers to download) would go a long way for promoting the zines. In my experience e-zine downloaders usually want the print version as well.

Inappropriate?At this point I've had to go with e-Junkie to manage my purchasable PDFs. Please make purchasable PDFs an option at MagCloud.
