PDF uploading Problem: new
My pdf keeps uploading with errors (3x). I checked the bleeds (they are correct). I'm using the template provided for InDesign. The pdf comes out created to the 8.5 x 11 size fine. I've tried uploading both ways provided on the website. Not sure what to do next. I'm using Adobe Acrobat 8.

I took a look, the problem is that the bleed was set using left/right instead of inside/outside. In other words, we want the 0" bleed on the binding edge of the page, and that alternates between left and right. An authoring tool can sometimes set margins using inside/outside instead of left/right (I know MS Word has the ability to do that), look for such a setting in the tool you are using.
An alternative would be to omit your bleed settings altogether, keeping the 8.5x11 page size. We'll still trim it down as if you had the correct bleed settings. I checked this (so can you, via the trim preview after you upload), and it looks like the trim will be ok given your layout.

Inappropriate?I had this problem before, too, so there appears to be a problem with the template provided. What I did to fix it is go into File>Document Setup... and fix the bleeds so they match the requirements.

Inappropriate? Thanks Inelson, but the document settings are correct already.
Wondering if it's just the upload "reader" interpreting the file wrong.??
I’m puzzled

Inappropriate?Hmm. When I checked my Document Setup, I had to change the "inside" bleeds to 0 in order for it to work (the insides were set to the same bleeds as the outsides). What specific errors does MagCloud give you (if any)?

The first time it said the bleeds were off, the second and third tries, it just said invalid file. Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Hi folks. FYI, an early version of the InDesign template (in .inx format) had incorrect bleed settings, but the current template (.indd) for InDesign CS3 should be ok. That might explain the inconsistencies.
Teri, I will have a look at your pdf and let you know what's going on. -
The template I used was the .indd one. Can I send you the pdf or is there a way for you to ck it on the site? Thanks. -
