restrict access to full resolution pictures of magictouch
Hello,
we have tested today magic touch.
We integrated magictouch in a magento online store.
It is working very well.
Our customer is selling maps.
So he don't want that everybody and of course google can get the original big picture.
We know everybody can make a screencopy, but this okay.
Problem is that you can download the full resolution of the orginal image.
So google can also index the full resolution picture.
We can in the source code:

Do you have any solution how to prevent it, that not everybody can download the full resolution picture?
For example with an .htaccess.
I saw that the picture is getting from an external source 174.129.228.122 (amazonaws).
Is there a list of ip adresses which is getting the pictures, so we can only allow it from these.

174.129.228.122 is the only IP address that Magic Touch fetch images from at present. Your suggested .htaccess solution is exactly what we recommend for protecting images. Please read more about it here:

Our IP address(es) can change. You should inform us if you are restricting image access via IP so that we can keep you updated of any changes.

ok, this is okay with the ip address. But there is another problem. The fullsize image is in the same directory than the others, so we can not restrict the access to this directory.
Perhaps it is possible, that you magento modul, copy the image before to another directory for example "magictouch".
Than we can restrict the access.

Inappropriate?The Magic Touch Magento module uses Magento core classes to create/fetch thumbnails. So it is not possible to place all large images into a separate folder using our module.
However, we can do it by modifying the Magento core files on your site. To go ahead, purchase 3 hours of technical support and we will make this customisation for you.
