I'd like to see an option to add and remove items from the Sidebar, or move items up and down on the Sidebar. (I suspect this is already in the works, but thought I should mention this just in case.)
I'd like to see a one-click link to the bookmark features. At present, from the "Bookmarks" page, it is necessary to click "Details" and then scroll down in order to view or edit bookmark details, or delete a bookmark. I've found this rather cumbersome, as I use the "View details" and "Edit details" options fairly often. Given that there are only 4 features in the "Details" drop-down menu, it seems that these features could be linked to directly from the "Bookmarks" page (possibly in the form of icons, if the designers are fearful of cluttering the page with text links). (The link to the "View Saved Copy" feature could probably even be omitted from the "Bookmarks" page and moved to the "Details" page).
I like the "Shortcuts" sidebar a lot. But, it is not always there. E.g., it is not present on the "tags" page (ma.gnolia.com/people/username/tags) and it is not present on the bookmark "detail" page (ma.gnolia.com/people/username/bookmarks/bookmarkid). The frustrating thing to me is that when the Sidebar is not present, there is no single-click method to get back to the Bookmark or Tag pages (as far as I know, only way to get back to the Bookmark or Tag pages when the Sidebar is missing is to click "You" and then scroll down...). (I realize that clicking on the "Home" link will show recent bookmarks, but this is not the more complete list provided by the Bookmark page).
I'm attempting to log in with OpenID, using the same URL https://sourceforge.net/users/stevensa I've always used (it's remembered and filled in automatically by my browser). However, after signing in with the delegated provider, instead of returning to the usual page of bookmarks I get prompted to assign the ID to a new or existing account. It should be already, to http://ma.gnolia.com/people/andy.stevens
This was working fine previously, it seems to have broken some time earlier this week.
I've noticed that the identity_url parameter in the address bar of that assignment page only says http not https; perhaps that's related to my problem? (not that I've looked at it that closely before, so I couldn't say if this has changed)
When I'm browsing my bookmarks on ma.gnolia, I see just a few bookmarks per page. I have just imported several hundred bookmarks into the service, and this makes traversing them difficult. Please allow me to choose how many links are displayed per page.
My OpenID is not working when I try to put it in on the profile page - I've just tested that it's working on another site, so I don't see the problem. My OpenID is http://www.flickr.com/photos/erlandh
In a bookmark I created I added a tag that included a forward slash ("i18n/l10n"). When adding subsequent bookmarks, this shows up in the tag cloud as a backslash, which is then used if I click the tag. Going back in and editing these bookmarks to use a forward slash again makes no difference to which is used in the cloud.
Curiously, entering either form in the search box appears to make no difference, and bookmarks with both forms are returned in the search results.
In both the full-screen and minimal bookmarklet, sharing to a private group doesn't change the privacy settings for the bookmark I'm about to share. Perhaps I'm missing something, but doesn't this destroy the whole purpose of having private groups? The current setup seems counterintuitive, and, frankly, dangerous.
What I'd propose: when I select a private group via dropdown, then the 'Keep bookmarks private' setting becomes checked, and then disabled (and / or add messaging that explains that this group is private). If you can't make sharing privately an all or none deal, at least automatically select the 'keep private' checkbox.
This Firefox extension <https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...> asks for the API key. The directions are to go to my Ma.gnolia profile and click on the advanced tab, which I cant' find. Thank you.
Is there any way to stop Ma.gnolia from constantly logging me out? Whenver I don't use Ma.gnolia for a couple of days, I have to sign in again. I find this to be very annoying, especially on my iPhone where it's a bit of a hassle to log in. I use a Yahoo OpenID to log in.
