I'm thinking about creating a bookmarking helper, one that would provide sample tags, an aggregated rating, a sample description and a sample title. I haven't been able to find anything for computer-reading. The closest I've found is Roots, but that's for humans and I'd like to have the helper aggregate multiple sites (del.icio.us also). The API does allow searching for a URL, but only through a user's bookmarks, not everyone's.
let's take a large focus group, let's say we want to use our bookmarking activity also for keeping public relations --> we need that some people will specialize in keeping relations, so we need people who add bookmarks, people who constantly check them in order to see if they still work, people who use that bookmarks to keep contacts with the various web sites. It would be nice and useful to have the possibility of assigning roles directly in Ma.gnolia instead of developing an external database. It will also be useful to have a way of marking who is caring a specific subset of links, I mean at present we know who posted that links, but we need an extra information about who is maintaining them and the relations involved.
I know my internet connection is working well but I keep on getting this whenever I go to the site: The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. This also happens when I'm logged on to another computer..
I haven't used Ma.gnolia in a while but I'd like to organize my bookmarks again. Hope someone can help me out.
When I try to send a bookmark to a group from the home page listing, the Group window that pops in is fixed in size and shows only so many (6 or so?) of my Groups (I have 13). Shouldn't I be able to scroll through the list or otherwise select from my list?
silly beginner's question - I'm successfully using the linkroll (http://eyelearn.org) but can't figure out how to exactly control the number of links shown...
"You can add or modify the following parameters to the url in the src attribute of the Javascript tag.
* length=integer: Number of bookmarks to show. Default is 5, maximum is 20. "
couldn't find an example of code anywhere - and failed miserably at implementing it.... :'(
Groups does not seem to be working correctly, I want to invite several of my contacts - already defined - to a group. When I hit "Add Members" the contacts don't show up. If I enter their email addresses, Magnolia notifies me that the first one is a member, and asks to add them to contacts. However, they never receive an invite email, and are not added to the group.
