adding multiple people to magnolia
As a social bookmarking tool why isn't there a way to add contacts on mass? While i can search for and add individual people, but can't seem to use a csv file, an online address book or anoher account to find my friends. It is really useful to see what the people around me are looking at as these are often also the things i am interested too.

Inappropriate?Contact import is a huge missing piece within Ma.gnolia, and will certainly be addressed in M2. I'm not sure if we'll be previewing before then in M1, however.
If there was one service you could import your contacts from, what would it be? -
Inappropriate?Thanks for the reply Larry, its strange at i noticed its missing in delicious etc as well.
I try to keep all my contacts/friends synced against each other, so as long as a services was supported i would be happy.
If i had to pick one format to import from it would have to be csv file i guess, as i can export this from most of my services, failing that hotmail or facebook would be good options as they are both very popular and most of my contacts/friends are on one or the other.

Inappropriate?I'd really prefer VCard imports. Everybody seems to have a different idea of what a CSV is, so they never import right for me.

Inappropriate?There are dozens of different options for pulling contacts in, but the only one I've seen that's pretty much universal across social networks is Gmail contacts. Everybody supports it, either through the user/pass stupidity or through the proper Contacts API, so I've been simply using Gmail as my one-stop contact management system. If only one provider gets implemented, Gmail would get my vote.
