Waterproofing
I bought a Manhattan portage abag a few years ago as a whim on a trip. I'm amazed at how well the sucker has held up considering how hard I am on my stuff. Unfortunately, the contents now get a bit damp when I'm out in the pouring rain. Anyone know of a good way to waterproof a bag?

Inappropriate? Can you spray it with Scotchguard? Or does that just protect fabrics from stains? Also, maybe not the healthiest stuff to be spraying on something you're carrying around every day...
I found this stuff for weatherproofing hiking boots. Maybe it would work?
I’m unsure but curious to know if there are good solutions

Inappropriate? All of our bags should be water resistant but if it does not have a vinyl lining is not waterproof! We do sell waterproof styles, such as our 1615 or any bags that are made out of waxed canvas.
If you do try to put any chemicals on your bag to add waterproofing you will unfortunately void the life time warranty on your bag.

Inappropriate?Bah! Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep paper out of the front pockets then.
I’m a little disappointed that I'll have to deal with a wet bag
