I'm not quite sure what you mean. When you write a post, you want it to default to a location? Right now you can use stored locations, which is a step. And seems like it may be nice to indicate one location to be used by default.
As a hack, you could modify the select_saved_geo function to add ' selected="selected"' if a location name matches the default stored location name you prefer. In the future, this could compare against the stored "default" name as a parameter.

Inappropriate? Thanks for getting back to me. I didn't spot the ambiguity in the question. The website is going to be aimed at people local to Peckham, and so ideally I would like the map to start off zoomed into the Southwark area of London, so people don't have to navigate from a view of the world.
I don't want to default the location itself, just the zoom level and map centre.
Can this be done? TIA.
