With all the bugs in GeoPress, combined with the seemingly abandoned development, I was looking around and found a more actively supported plugin for Wordpress, Geo Mashup. Here is the link:

Inappropriate?Development definitely isn't abandoned - I've just been traveling an inordinate amount, so I apologize about not responding sooner.
There are a number of bug fixes in the works - though these primarily have come as part of some major architectural changes to WordPress itself (such as versioning).
Also - definitely looking for fellow contributors - it's an open-source project that others have submitted patches to, so any contributions are welcome!
