How do I make a map of a particular category in my rss feed?
I'd like to create a map that takes the geotags only from a particular category - and plots them all on a single map.
Using Wordpress - and would like it on a page... not a post.

Inappropriate?I'm working on something like this too- or a global map where users could switch on and off multiple categories. There is a category tag in the georss feed, so I was thinking that maybe this could be done by making a Google map with a GGeoXML overlay on a static Wordpress page. Still not sure though. I've been playing with GeoMashup as well, and it has that capability built in...But no GeoRSS feed.
I’m curious

Inappropriate?I use another WordPress plugin to present maps on pages with categories geotagged with GeoPress.
Inline Google Maps

Example from my blog (WordPress 2.7)

In the geoblog, I use categories to classify a place according to region and municipality. Tags are used to describe the place in itself.

Inappropriate?kristian could you clarify the process you describe please? How does the other plugin read the geodata in posts made by GeoPress? Like others here I find that neither GeoPress or GeoMashUp on their own provide a complete solution, yet they do not seem able to be used together. Your idea about using GeoPress with Inline Google Maps sounds promising - I will have to try it!
I’m optimistic
