Inappropriate? Before answering this question, it would be helpful to see the panel topics Mediabistro produced in 2008 as a starting place to give new ones based on the kinds of panels you've produced in the past...
-
posted the list on 2008 panels. -
Inappropriate? That's a good point. I will get a full list and post it soon!

Inappropriate?Tarketing the African American Media. Ebony, Black Talk Radio, Online bloggers ....and publicists can help filter (me) :) www.PamPerryPRcoach.com
-
That's an excellent suggestion. Last year, SXSW had a panel titled "Where are all the black tech bloggers?" We'll think about something similar for a MB panel. -
Inappropriate? How about a panel on multi-cultural and technology. The current minority African American, hispanics, asisans are going to be the majority in a few years and the media has to learn how to identify with the NEW Majority

Thanks for this great suggestion Stephen -
Inappropriate? How about something like getting yourself over the hump: for people starting out who are on the fringe of being successful in terms of blog popularity, freelance opportunities, what have you, but don't know how to make a bigger leap.
I’m intrigued
-
Inappropriate? How about a panel on the importance of creating collaborative writing spaces (both online and off) to leverage talent and resources? Freelance writing can be (but doesn't have to be) isolating. More and more you see partnered/shared blogs and there is clearly a hunger/desire/need for writers to find spaces offline to connect.
Another topic: Creating your Search engine friendly writer site. Discover creative ways to help niche publications find you...
And another: Repurposing blog ideas/posts for print...the symbiotic relationship between creating content for the web and for traditional media sources. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for your great ideas. We'll definitely be taking them into consideration when planning next year's panels. If you've got more ideas, keep them coming!
