Inappropriate?i have build 126 but still can't download songs from Songselect into mediashout. Works fine on my laptop, but not my desktop. i have an IMAC running windows. any suggestions?
-
Try running a repair of the update installation. -
Inappropriate? Please refer to our Knowledge base article no 142 for v3 http://mediashout.issuetrak.com/Kb_Ar...

Inappropriate?I've uploaded:
v3 patch: http://download.mediacomplete.com/Sup...
v4 update: http://download.mediacomplete.com/V4/...
This DOES NOT fix the "ZeroClipboard.js" error message some of you are seeing. However, if you click "Yes" or "No" , you can continue to use the website. We're still working with SongSelect on this issue. I did some quick testing in the v3 build and it looks like the ZeroClipboard.js error doesn't show up in v3... but I could be wrong.
We'll continue to monitor the situation and work with CCLI to get these issues fixed. As soon as we do, we'll be releasing an official update; hopefully early next week.
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?Unfortunately, the Song Select interface is showing multiple script errors while searching through their database from within MS. This was not the case with the previous release, although I had to install the update to be able to even sign in.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? Please send me the v.3 patch when you get it. I need my Song Select!
-
See Nathan's post above. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for jumping on this issue, you saved the day! you may want to update your download page, though. it told me i have a version that has not yet been developed, and asked for the blueprints to my time machine. :)
I’m tickled to death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Inappropriate?Well, I downloaded the update, but I still cannot download the songs to MediaShout. I can copy and paste, but not download. Have I done something wrong? is there a new process? Copying and pasting is already old.....
-
Are you clicking on the "Lyrics" option and then "Save"? -
Inappropriate?Jay,
Anything at all on the script errors while searching for a song in the SongSelect interface from within MS?
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I have the script error issue too, build 126.1
-
Inappropriate? We're working on the issue with CCLI. That's why we've not made this part of our regular cycle of updates when you go to Help > Check for updates.
The good news is that you can click through the error and continue using the UI and download the songs successfully. -
Inappropriate?Just spoke with tech support. They are sending me a link to MediaShout 4.3. I'll download, install and let you know how it works.
I’m undecided
-
This one works for me! -
Inappropriate? The update worked. There is a script error that pops up but you can drive right on through it. Once in CCLI you have to find your song, then click on lyrics icon then click on the lyrics icon again. You'll then see the download option. - cheers
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?OK it works, thx.
I get 7-8 script error popups but eventually I can get the download option finished (if I'm quick enough between popups...)
I knew how to download the lyrics, it's just that the script errors popped up one after the other. -
Inappropriate? The script errors seem to be associated with i.e. 8...I think. good news is that we are working with ccli to get this worked out. If anyone still can't get into the site please call us at 866 857 1292. We will help you out..
-
Hate to say it, but my default browser is Firefox and I still receive the same script issues -
From what I understand, just plow through the error. I use Safari but not CCLI so it might be worth a try. -
I use Firefox as default too but I think MediaShout might not be programmed to use the default browser, but relies on IE somehow? -
Inappropriate?yep. IE 8 was the worst mistake. kinda like Windows ME and Vista :)
-
Inappropriate?Yeah that is great to be able to download the .txt file, but that doesnt help us in importing right into Shout. Dont I STILL have to manually create the song and stanzas this way? Can you import text files and go from there? Will it actually record the CCLI and Copyright info this way?
Its a drag with them changing this out of the blue. One day it works, next day everything is a time killer :(
**Edit- I forgot to mention, our church is a MediaShout Express 3 user. I hope us Express users are not left hanging here on an update. Plz!
I’m not happy
-
Inappropriate? With v.4 at least, it d/l's the song, stanzas & other stuff just fine. It just has the script error popups while you're getting there.
Not sure how it's working with express 3 right now.
If I understand right, the problem is not so much that MediaShout has a deficiency, just that SongSelect changed the stuff on their site that had been written into the way media shout retrieved the info over the internet, and meanwhile IE is a different version as well. -
Inappropriate?Yeah your right Drew. For the most part right now, I just download the .txt file, and then import it threw ShoutSinger as a Song Select text file. It works just the same as Export from Song Select, just a couple more steps. So for now, at least I dont have to manually add the songs. That is a big help.
I agree too, its a Song Select issue really, as they change the way their database handles stuff, like they did last year, and then it 'breaks' the way the other Media Apps reference and download from their stuff. Would be nice if they could keep things so that they work without losing functionality every time they do an update. What do I know though, its all code to me. :)
I’m happier now that I have a slight workaround.
-
Inappropriate?I have version 126 on two computers - a Dell Optiplex with XP Professional and a MacBook Pro (latest version) with Vista 64 bit version and Song Select won't work on either computer. The XP version shows the Song Select screen but won't allow any information to be entered and the Vista version simply shows a blank screen! When using automatic update (build 126.0) the screen says there are no new updates available.
-
Inappropriate?I still dont see any employee mentioning if V3 Express is also being looked at for an update??! I see fixes being mentioned for V3.5b which is the full version of Shout, and for V4, but not Express.
Is this also in the works? Thanks for any info. -
me too!!! -
Inappropriate? We are working on the express fix right now.
-
Inappropriate?I need help.I just bought MediaShout express, and when I try to get on songselect, I get this error.
Is this the error everyone else is getting? I needed to select our songs for chapel tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks -
CCLI threw a curve ball at us by changing the portal to their website. Our developers are working hard to repair the damage. The only thing I can suggest is to copy and paste the lyrics into Shout Singer text format, then import them. -
Inappropriate? If you are using IE8 and you get the script error, try removing it. Unless there is someone who is using IE6 or IE7 and still gets the script errors.
-
Inappropriate? We are working on trying to resolve the js script errors. It seems to happen when you try to download a 2nd song. The first song works fine but if you try a 2nd time then you get the script errors in IE 8
-
It's not always the 2nd download. It more often occurs while searching for them and returning to the main search window. -
Inappropriate?I have MS4, build 126, and still get 'script errors' when trying to import lyrics. I went to updates, and it said I have the current one. I'm not terribly computer savy, but trying to copy thru the script errors is a real pain and time consuming. I still haven't been able to import my old 3.5 song library...and think it's been lost in the ether, so I'm re-formatting every song...I'm just a part-time volunteer...it's almost enough to 'give up.' I get script errors on the first song as well. We're still using IE7, as some computers (or users) don't like IE8 yet.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? The newest update fixed my song select issues. Thanks. I'm using v.3.5
-
Inappropriate? If you have version 3.5 express, you may now go to help > check for updates and download the newest build which gives you the ccli fix.
-
Still working on it. It shouldn't be long. As soon as they have a date, I'm sure they will let the community know. Thank you and every one else for their patients. -
Inappropriate?Cool, cant wait to try it out. One note of interest, when did Express 3 jump to Express 3.5? During this fix, or is it considered that all along? does this up the requirements for the laptop minimums at all? Just curious as I noticed the naming change on this patch. Tnx again for all the hard work guys.
I’m confident
-
I think it was a typo on Jay's part. Without checking, I think we've got "MediaShout 3.x" and "MediaShout Express." The build numbers between the two stay parallel, though, so you could consider Express also a 3.5 variant. Specs never changed, though. -
Inappropriate?I can download songs from Song Select, but do I have to enter my CCLI number into each footer? Will MediaShout not automatically put the number in each footer? For each footer the area after CCLI# is blank. I have entered my CCLI number into the MediaShout settings area under "Song"
