How do I make the stage display presentable by default?
Our "stage display" is at the back of the room and visible to the congregation. I don't mind it being optimized for the stage, but I really don't want the congregation to see the behind-the-scenes details, such as the filename for the next cue in our preworship announcements, or the first line of the next text cue. Can we have some simple options here?
- to "blank" the stage screen on video or non-lyric and non background cues?
- Templates for the stage display
- a "blackout" button for the stage display
- "fit to screen" options so that the words can be as large as possible without any being truncated?
- an option for the footer to include "next line within cue" so that my final screen won't show random garbage?
This was the key reason we upgraded, and we can live with what it is, but at the moment its drawbacks are disappointing.

Inappropriate?Chris,
Thanks for the question! Currently, you can blank your stage by setting the Header & Footer to "None" and the Body to "Custom" or "None" and leaving it blank.
We're currently working to get Templates for cues supporting the stage display. It was an oversight in our software design.
As for the other ideas: they're great ideas, but I'm not sure when we might be implementing them. Stage Display, by it's very name, is not designed for the audience and so we focused on making useful information available for presenters and weren't too worried about the audience seeing the behind-the-scenes details.

Inappropriate?I don't have a "none" option for the body text, but that would be a nice thing to see added in the next build. That would save me the trouble of making everything custom and erasing text
I'd like to encourage yall to push a few of the changes I recommended through. Many churches I've seen have a display up and above behind the congregation as their stage display, primarily because it gets the vocalists and choir looking up and out rather than down at a TV on the floor when they sing. I'd guess that's about half the market. I suspect that many of the changes I'm recommending would be quick to add and be well-received for these churches. You'd also have my eternal thanks. ;)
How can I get the "Black" and "Logo" cues to be blank on the stage display? I couldn't find any stage display options on those. Our volunteers rely on those pretty heavily.
I’m patiently waiting.

Inappropriate?Found it - in the firebox, the down arrow next to the "X" to close it gives you the option to edit those cues. If you switch the view on that screen to "advanced", you can select the stage display options and take out the garbage at will. Since there's no "none" option on body text, one handy shortcut is to change the text color to black. This is quicker than erasing that text, and it blends right into obscurity. (I encountered a couple of text cues that would not allow me to edit this text, so that was the only available option.)
There is a stage display option under the edit menu on each cue if you have the "advanced" view on, so it looks like you can make just about anything presentable on the stage display, so long as you don't mind taking the time to do it.
I’m pleased
