How do I roll back a build in v4
In v3, each build that was installed was visible in the add/remove programs as a seperate entry, and could be individually uninstalled.
In v4 you only see "MediaShout 4.4". If I go re remove it, I'm asked the question "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all its features".
Words like that make me feel nervous. Will it just remove a build at a time?

Inappropriate? It was my understanding that it would uninstall all but I recently installed a bad beta(133)and this is what happened. I was rolled back to 4.3 when I chose to uninstall all. It is not like V3 so I can't guarantee this will be your results. Like I said It was my understanding that we would have to start over.
-
Inappropriate?Yuk. Don't like the possibility of a complete reinstall if I do want to roll back.
Can anyone else confirm what John's experience was. ie. it just rolled back to previous build. -
Inappropriate? To be safe you can also make an system image first on a separate drive.
-
Inappropriate?Wow, why is v4 so complicated to roll back.
Are you saying if you click uninstall, you could uninstalling the whole thing.
I'm seeing words like "to be safe" and "it was my understanding it would uninstall all", and "can't guarantee results".
Before I try, is there no official word from MS on what should happen.
Surely it's designed to either totally uninstall or just uninstall a build, or uninstall a version ie. 4.4 rolls back to 4.3.
Can we please get an official word on what MS (or the uninstaller) is designed to do?
Thanks Ken
I’m confused

Inappropriate? When I uninstalled a few weeks ago it uninstalled it all. That is why I keep all my media seperate from the program. That may not be what MS intended but I think I was on the build before 131, whatever that was.
-
Inappropriate? The official word is that it will uninstall all. I had a different experience though. That's why my first response was iffy. The option to roll back one build at a time is not available with version 4. The reason was to make the uninstall process easier. With V3 you would need to uninstall the patches first before you would be able to uninstall the program.

Inappropriate?Kenno, why are you rolling back?
-
Inappropriate?I didn't like some of the issues I was having with b137 (posted in the beta forum). But since ten John & I have found work arounds for them.
I know you can use windows restore function, but that's a bit global when all I want it to roll back a build, and not everything else.
I'm a beta tester from the first v3 beta, so rolling back is an important part of being a beta tester. If things don't work well (or there's just some bugs that you couldn't cope with for a live service) then you roll back for the service, and reinstall the build later for more testing.
