MS V4 with latest build crashing
When slideshow import is selected, the powepoint import window appears and begins to endlessly loop on the first slide. The x and abort buttons no longer work, have to forcibly close MS. Please Advise.
A little irritated by not getting company support with this issue.

Inappropriate?A few questions about your specific issue. Which version of PPT is installed on your MediaShout computer and which version was used to create the file if different? Would love to provide more help if we can get some more specifics.

Inappropriate? This started in build 107. All was working fine before and now when you import any power point it will ether crash MS or when you start your power point cue it would take what seems forever to start. This was one of the reasons we went to EasyWorship. We are using PPT2003 on this computer.

Inappropriate?I'm having the Same problem. Any powerpoints take an excessive time to load when "transitioning to them" and often MediaShout crashes and needs to be killed manually. I don't recall this problem in build 107 however can't deny it was there although I think 107 was a more stable build.

Inappropriate? If you are still on build 107 please update to build 112.1 and let us know if you are having the same issue.
Thanks, Tina

Inappropriate?with build 112.1, I haven't had the crashing problem that I can recall. Although there is still an issue with the long lag time and PPT not firing.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Just wanted to say there is another thread with the same problem here http://getsatisfaction.com/mediacompl...

Inappropriate?Hugh, does this occur on all PPT files or only this one? What version of PPT are you running? What version of PPT was this file created in? Do you have this issue with any other media files? Is this happening on your first run through of PPT or can you run through it the first time and then the second time how does it run? Are you running with compact or full script? How large is this PPT file? What are some of the items this PPT show contains ex. video, fly in text, timings, transitions, I am not saying you can’t do this I am just asking to see if we may find why PPT is running slow.
Thanks, Tina

Inappropriate?Personally, I find it easier to save my PPT's as GIF images (an option in PPT's "Save As" menu) and add them to my script as graphic cues, as long as they don't contain any embedded transitional effects.

Inappropriate? We are using PPT2003 with 97 viewer. I will be updating to build 114 tomorrow hoping this will fix some other problems. Last Sunday I imported all my PPT's as jpeg's and what graphics that came through were all distorted and some images of the PPT slide when imported went missing. We ended up using PPT by itself to run the slides and all worked fine. Since PPT is such a common presentation package it seems to be hard to communicate with it through third party software. One thing about having the PPT problem it is making other problems with MS look like petty problems, but I'm sure it will all be fixed.

Inappropriate? Not sure why they were distorted as long as they were transition-free and composed using the same aspect ratio as you're using in MS. Sorry.
