Make sure your database servers can handle your load!
Running a WordPress install with Widget Cache plugin and SuperCache plugin? Still notice no increase in the speed of your site? Don't worry, it's not ur site's fault. It's MediaTemple's database servers' fault. Clusters are always going down. Check out their System Status Page and see what clusters have gone down in the past 24 hours.

Inappropriate? You are correct. We are indeed having some issues with certain segments of our (gs) Grid-Service hosting product. This is not a global problem. Our Engineers are doing their best to minimize any customer-impacting downtime while we work these issues out. We internally have a long-term plan on permanently fixing all of these slowness and availability concerns. Often times, it may be hard to see the progress we are making from the customer's perspective. But we would like to assure you that there is indeed much progress that has been made and more is being made every day.
We highly encourage you to check our System Status page at http://status.mediatemple.net, which is where we communicate any relevant information regarding major incidents. Bookmark that link and check that first to see what may be going on and to determine if you are affected. And as always, we value any feedback about how we can make this system better for you as well. Please feel free to ask for me, Andrew in Customer Service, if you would like to speak to us directly, or visit http://mediatemple.net/company/contac... to drop us a note.
