Why can't I cancel my account mid-month and get a partial refund?

Inappropriate?I don't work with (mt), but from my experience in the web hosting industry, they won't do this for a few reasons:
1) Complicated from a billing perspective if they aren't setup for it.
2) They would rather keep your money.
3) It keeps you locked into the contract you've paid for.
Some companies will give you pro-rated refunds. A lot, though, won't. I guess (mt) is one of the ones that won't.

Inappropriate?I just got off the phone with a billing rep. they said that I couldn't get a refund for the remaining day left in October. And yet you guys say that I can.

Inappropriate?I had the worst experience with MT. I would LOVE my money back, yet so far getting in touch with anyone at the company has been fruitless. I'm out a year's cost of your Grid Service (which resulted in me losing a client, no less!) which I purchased in April 2008. I will indeed call the number above first thing Monday to talk to you about this and about getting a refund.

Inappropriate?Andrew, if this is possible, I'd truly be happy. I was barely able to use 2 weeks' worth of the one-year GS service I paid up-front for, and it's almost a year later already. Why is it that after attempting to contact anyone via your own site, it wasn't until I came here that a response was made? There's some clear and serious issues regarding MT's customer service lately. It seems if anyone is buying your less expensive offerings, we get left by the roadside.
