Me.dium seems like a great program. It would be like MySpace, but without the horrible taste in my mouth. However, there's one problem; I'm only 13. The terms of Me.dium require you to be over 18. I can understand that, but really. Can't us teens just have less features (Such as removing the ability of talking to random people we don't know like on MySpace)? I mean, I'd love to surf the web with my friends at school. Is that so much to ask?
I don't want to fake my age on this one.
When i open my Me.dium sidebar where it should be showing where I am and everyone else is actually covered with a grayish almost transparent overlay on it and it says "Sharing with Me.dium Suspended! this is a private page and Me.dium want to make sure your personal information is protected."
So what is that all about and how do I get rid of it and start back with the normal use. I am shown as viewable to all.
I have uninstalled reinstalled upgraded installed uninstalled reinstalled and it works as soon as I install the Me.dium program but then once I get out of it and reboot and then start it again I get the same problems and have to uninstall and reinstall again to get it to work. When will this be fixed?
The facebook option is nice, but it is slightly clunky. I'm not sure how much interactivity you can get with facebook, but it would be incredible if you could see your online facebook friends and use medium to chat with them. Or your Skype or AIM friends for that matter.
Or perhaps an option to write on their wall instead of just sending messages.
Even when I browse to large sites like slashdot or myspace, there are no other users showing up on my map. Am I doing something wrong? The entire reason I installed me.dium was so I could find/chat with other users browsing the same sites as me.
Has anyone fixed the suspend problem with Me.dium yet? I just updated a day or two ago to see if it would fix it but I still have the problem. I am not going to keep uninstalling and reinstalling everytime I was to use it. So when you guys get this fixed please let me know and I will try Me.dium again. BTW when it worked it was an EXCELLENT program!!!
Thanks,
Rick
very simple idea, at the moment if you close the sidebar, then medium closes, and stops running, it would be useful to have an option to run in the background so that your friends could still see what you are viewing, but the sidebar isnt taking up any precious screen room.
It might also be useful to have some sort of smaller notifcations in this mode, IM style maybe, or in the stausbar.
Me.dium worked great for the first two or three days after I started using Flock, but after that it just gave me the loading screen. Ended up having to reinstall the OS for unrelated reasons, but it still wasn't working. Was hoping the new version would solve my problem but no love. It just gives me the logo screen. I just tried it under Firefox and it loaded fine.
Am using Opensuse 10.3 and Flock 1.1.2. Tried the esd solution suggested elsewhere.
i have a problem where i get "Sharing with Me.dium Suspended! this is a private page and Me.dium want to make sure your personal information is protected." i have reinstalled it twice of no use .
