Yes, Me.dium provides two ways to talk to the other people. If they are people that you don't know, you can post a message on the "Talk" tab and anyone currently represented on your online world can see the message and reply. If they are in your Friend list, then clicking their name opens up a private chat window. You can also add other people to a private chat by selecting their name form the list of other friends online with the "add to chat" feature.

Inappropriate?when i lay my mouse over the map and it shows people on a site and says..talk to all...when i click it does nothing. how does that work please? -
Inappropriate?Yes I see what you are talking about. I need to check with our engineering team to see why this is and get back to you. For now if you want to talk to all just select the "share a web page" hyperlink above the chat window. You can post your message to the users in that new window that opens up.
