How do i use this thing??

how do i chat to other people?
I see other people in the map....but im not sure how to start a convo...
Earlier you had mentioned to use the shoutout tab....I been trying to find that tab...but i cant find it....can someone help me out? also I would like to know, what exactly is the purpose of medium?..and I have been trying to find some online documentation to know and understand medium but all i got was a shockwave tutorial..

I’m confused....need some help ...

Hey Cranky Geek (great name by the way),

We've changed a few things with the sidebar so there is no longer a shoutout tab. What we've done is focus on your friends. The main view of the map will show you where you are in relation to your friends who are sharing their location.

You can still see recommended sites if you click the M with the circle around it at the top of the sidebar.

you can add friends by clicking the "add friends" link at the bottom of the sidebar. The best way to get friends on Me.dium is to invite your friends to join! (You can slurp your email to add friends.)

Also, we have a team here that you can chat with to get the idea of what me.dium is all about. Add GFIGG, PJN, or JENNIFERLAUREN (That's me,) to start finding out what Me.dium is all about!
