Why can't I download the sidebar?
I can't download the sidebar. The error reads something like ... the administrator has set settings to prevent this download. I am the administrator. What setttings would prevent this download?? I have never seen this error message before.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble downloading. We'll get it straightened out.
If you're downloading from work it may be that your work's firewall is preventing you from downloading.
If that's not the case, please copy the error you get and I'll shop it around to folks more technical than I am. Please also let me know what browser you are you using to download?

I can't copy the error but it reads ... "The administrator has set policies to prevent this installation". There is no error number. The message is coming from the Windows Installer.
I am using IE7. I am on my own pc, not work. My windows firewall is turned off. We do have Macafee protecting the machine. I turned off it's firewall and tried to download and it still gave me the same message.

According to our tech folks, we need to find a way to broaden your administrative privileges on your machine.
To do this you may have to log out of the computer as you and log back in as the administrator. You should be able to do this upon restart.
When you get a computer new there is usually a setup screen that allows you to set up administrative permissions. If you did not set up your computer you'll want to ask the person who did so that you can access this area.
