No export/backup?
An export feature is really necessary if you expect people use the site every day and enter lots of stuff, why would they do this if they didn't feel comfortable about being able to save their efforts "off-line"?

Inappropriate?Completely agree, and it's currently #1 on my priority list.
We'll start with a simple RSS feed, which should be deployed ASAP, and later on, you should have the option to export in XML/CSV/iCal for importing in things like Outlook, Google Calendar, and Excel. -
Inappropriate?I agree - we should certainly have the option to export all Memiary entries to excel, word, something.
Other than that this is a fantastic concept!!!! Thank you for the great service! -
Inappropriate?Thanks!
As of yesterday, you can 'export' to RSS. You can find the icon in the top-right of the past week/month/year/all time pages. There are a lot of ways this can be used, I mention some of them here: http://blog.memiary.com/post/57565336...
Apart from RSS, I am also working on a iCal/CSV like format which would allow you to import all your memories into Outlook or Google Calendar. Stay tuned!

Inappropriate?I'd like to see an export to PDF, where the content is formatted in a Diary-like layout. I can save these PDFs' offline, but could also print them and have them bound, etc.
-
Inappropriate? That's a great idea. I'll be looking into this over the next couple of months while the 'entries' to accumulate. Exporting PDFs could be a fantastic backup option for the typical user, and I can even see a potential business model here where we could team up with companies and sell bound physical hard copies of your diary with custom layouts. You just made me a million dollars. ;-)
Thanks,
Sid

Inappropriate? You can now also export Memiary into iCal (and subscribe to it in Google Calendar!): http://blog.memiary.com/post/59944332...
