The fancy DHTML one is slow and doesn't contain half the functionality of the old one.

Hi again,

today I noticed that your bookmarklet now supports to use the current selection as comment. That is, why I finally decided to do for Mento, what I already did some months ago for del.icio.us. I created a "button" for Opera.
In this case it wasn't much more than wrapping some Opera-specific code around your bookmarklet.

The result is:

• Share with Mento (compose mail icon)


• Share with Mento (new bookmark icon)

(to install the button just drag the link up to your personal bar)

The code is simple and easy to understand:

(the last part which is here "New%20Bookmark" determines what icon will be used for the button)
