After installing the mento firefox extension on Mac OS X (Firefox 3.0.1) I can't minimize firefox to dock anymore because Cmd+M now fires up the mento plugin, instead of minimzing the window.
IMHO not a great idea to use a standard OS shortcut for an indiviuel extension.
Posting Screenishots with Skitch & mento is not working on Mac OSX 10.5.1 with Firefox 3: images get uploaded, but they never get attached to my mentos.
Just installed the Mento extension, opened firefox, and you can see the result. I'm on the latest (fully updated) version of OS X using Firefox 2.0.0.16
When I select the option to "Post with Screenshot," my browser screen gets a gray overlay and the pointer turns into a crosshair, with lines extending horizontally and vertically from the pointer to the window's edges. So far so good. Then, however, clicking does nothing. That's it. I have to hit escape and start over. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.14 and the most recent Mento extension on XP Professional. I also have way too many other FF extensions installed, so it's quite possible there's a conflict. (For example, I am running NoScript, and I have found that in order for the Mento image selector to work, I have to enable scripts for the current page.)
It seems that there is a problem with the mento plugin in firefox 3rc1. From 10 savings with the plugin I have three or four firefox hangups. Maybe there is somehting to improve. Feel free to contact me for further informations :) ..
Sometimes when I use the Firefox 3 extension and click to the Mento icon, the pop-up page appears, but I can't see the lower frame(which has the page information) in that pop-up.
To be able to see that frame, I have to visit the mento.info page for every session I'm browsing.
When using the Firefox plugin and saving links, I can't add an image after saving the link. When I click save it take me to the panel where I can add a comment or a picture, but the picture never gets saved to the link.
Hi Greg. Like your new site a whole lot, and the features that come with it!.
I just wanted to let you know that I was trying to install the Firefox extension a couple of times and it didn't show up. I do have a custom Firefox skin that changes my layout a bit, but other buttons (e.g. the Digg button) do show up.
Allow you to download the firefox extension more than once. What's the link? I can't find it! I run two versions of firefox at work and I also run it at home, but I didn't save the extension link, and it's not easy to find.
the extension in firefox would be better along with the button to the main page of Mento - just like the two buttons in faves and del.icio.us extensions
